(Scroll down for video) A lonely single man decided to make couples miserable while at a movie theater.
The man, who was identified as “UP” of China, tried to book every odd seat at a cinema in Shanghai, so that couples could not sit next to one another while watching the Beijing Love Story.
However, since the ticket office has a limit of how many tickets one person can purchase, the man started an online group to enlist like-minded singles to help him by all the odd number seats.
The group managed to accomplish their mission.
“UP” posted a message on the company’s website letting people know that they won’t be able to sit next to their loved ones.
“Sorry, you’ll have to sit separately. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Give us singles a chance,” he wrote.
A seating chart confirmed that every single odd numbered seat was taken.
The theater decided to sell the remaining seats at a discount price.
