Two teenagers were jailed after they beat up a younger girl over having sex with a married man.
Nomana Perseverance, 19, was angry when a 15-year-old girl was messing with “her man.”
Perseverance and her 17-year-old friend, lured the younger girl to a house where they beat her up as punishment for having sex with her boyfriend, who is married to another woman.
District Attorney Medica Tshuma said that the women detained the 15-year-old in a room for two hours.
The girl was finally rescued by a neighbor, who heard her scream.
The judge told the teenagers that they are still young, and they need to focus on their education and not fight over men.
“Stop fighting over men at such a young age because men will always be there. To make matters worse, you were fighting over a married man who has his own family,” the judge said.
The two teens were sentenced to 12 months in prison of which three were suspended.
The remaining nine months were set aside on condition that each perform 315 hours of community service.
