(Scroll down for video) It is a heartbreaking situation for a young couple, who is in love.

A young woman fell in love with her boyfriend, Yan Hongbo, and things were going well until he became paralyzed.

The woman, 19-year-old Yang Na, who loves her boyfriend, decided to give up her job so she could care for him full time.

However, her parents wanted her to move on and live a normal life.

It all began in 2011. The young woman of Chengdu, China, begged her parents to allow her to care for her disabled boyfriend.

Her parents, who saw her love and commitment to him, agreed to give her three years to be with him and help him get better.

The woman signed a contract, which was drawn up by her parents, stating that she would take care of her paraplegic boyfriend for three years.

If after three years he could stand on his own two feet the couple would receive the blessing of her father to get married. However, if that does not happen then she would return home.

Sadly, at the end of the three years, doctors say that there is no chance that the man will walk again.

The parents desperately want their daughter to come home.

The young woman said that it has been exhausting taking care of her boyfriend every day for all those years, but it has been well worth it.

The heartbroken woman asked her parents to allow her stay another six months so she could slowly ease her way out of the relationship.

She will continue to care for him in some way over the next 6 months, but won’t be his primary caretaker.

Hongbo, who loves his girlfriend, also wants her to live a full and happy life.
