(Scroll down for video) A teacher was arrested and charged with sex crimes against a child after she allegedly had oral sex with a young student.
The 30-year-old teacher was accused of having oral sex with one of her 13-year-old male students.
Elizabeth Marie Moss was suspended from her job at Chestnut Oaks Middle School in Sumter, South Carolina, after Facebook messages exposed her sexual relationship with her student.
“Our research has confirmed that Moss was in a sexual relationship with the student,” Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis said during a press conference.
Dennis said that school officials became aware of the Facebook messages, which were sent by Moss to the victim and other students. Those messages were “inappropriate,” though not necessarily sexual in nature.
School administrators called police, and during their investigation, police learned about the sexual relationship between Moss and her student.
The student told police that Moss had performed oral sex on him.
She was arrested and charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Her lawyer denied all the allegations made against her client.
