A young boy was caught with stolen electronics, which he swiped from his grandmother’s home, police in Nigeria said.
Imo State Police said that the 8-year-old boy was caught trying to sell the stolen items, which he broke while it was in his possession.
The boy was identified as Obiefule Odigwe. His neighbors were shocked to learn that on Thursday night, he broke into his grandmother’s house and stole some small electronic items.
Police valued the stolen items at N70 ($0.50). The boy managed to steal a 9,000 watt capacity generator, a DVD player and an audio player.
All items were damaged before the boy took them to a local vendor to sell the electronics. The vendor became suspicious of the boy and notified the police.
