(Scroll down for video) A little boy with a big heart decided to pay off some lunch bills after his classmates received just a sandwich rather than a normal meal.
The 8-year-old boy of Michigan, has made a real difference in the lives of his classmates and other children in his county, when he launched a campaign to help pay off lunch bills.
Cayden Taipalus, a third-grade student at Challenger Elementary School in Howell, recently saw that his friends were refused a hot meal in the cafeteria because there was no money left in their lunch account. After they were offered just a cheese sandwich instead of a packed lunch, Cayden decided to do something to help low-income children in his school.
Two weeks ago, the boy and his mother launched a campaign called: “Pay it Forward: No Kid Goes Hungry,” on a fundraising website. The boy also collected bottles and cans, and asked family, friends and neighbors for donations in order to pay overdue lunch bills at school.
The campaign has already raised more than $11,700.
