A man of Nigeria was banned from his hometown for 25 years after he was caught red-handed raping a woman.

Elders of a small city in Oyo State, have expelled Rasheed Opadijo, for allegedly raping a housewife and mother of six.

The head of the community announced that he decided to expel Opadijo after consulting with other community elders. According to an investigation, Opadijo had been raping women for some time, and the latest incident was his fourth offence in the past two years.

In his latest attack, Opadijo was seen entering the woman’s house through a window. He was aware that her husband had gone to work on a farm and the wife was home alone.

He was caught red-handed raping the innocent woman. The man was quickly detained and the woman’s husband was called home.

The incident was not reported to the police because the closest police station is about 20 miles away. A spokesperson for the city said that by expelling the suspect, elders hope to send a clear message that rape will not be tolerated.

Opadijo confessed to the crimes and said that he was overcome by the devil.
