(Scroll down for video) An Israeli tank unit sprang into action after receiving a call about a flooded bus that was packed with soldiers, a video uploaded to the Internet by Channel 2 News showed.
The Har HaNegev unit along with the Israel Police, rescued twenty soldiers after their bus was stranded in rising flood waters near Nahal Zin.
On the video, rescuers can be seen helping soldiers climb out of a bus window and onto an army tank. The bus, which had been traveling south, became stuck in the water after strong rain caused a nearby creek to overflow.
According to investigators, the security barrier of the road prevented the bus from flipping over and being washed away into the creek. Luckily, no one was injured.
This week, a storm system moved over Israel, causing severe flooding in many locations. Many major roadways were shut down due to the flooding.
