(Scroll down for video) A strong explosion rocked houses outside the Israeli embassy in Egypt, police said.
The incident happened in Cairo late Tuesday. Luckily, there were no injuries.
The improvised explosive device was planted on the Al- Gama bridge, which is located opposite the embassy. The Israeli embassy is located on the third floor of an apartment building.
Police believe that terrorists were targeting an Egyptian police car, and not the embassy. Three cars were damaged in the blast.
The embassy was attacked several times since the ouster of long time Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak. Since the attacks against the embassy in 2011, the offices have remained vacant, and the Israeli ambassador and his team have been working from temporary locations including hotels until a more secure location will be found.
