People were shocked to hear Menachem Stark being named as the winner of a raffle.
Despite being kidnapped and murdered several months ago, notorious Satmar landlord Menachem Stark managed to win a prize from the Bobov Hasidic sect.
Stark won the top prize raffled out by Keren Hasanim of Bobov, in the amount of $18,000. Keren Hasanim of Bobov, which helps needy families with their wedding expenses, held a fundraiser during the winter months.
Apparently, Stark bought a raffle before he was murdered. Officials of the Bobov Hasidic sect said that they will give the $18,000 to Stark’s children.
Stark was kidnapped after leaving his office late at night. His burned body was found the next day inside a gas station dumpster.
Police have launched an investigation, but so far, no arrests have been made.
