(Scroll down for video) Several Israeli soldiers were injured after a Palestinian terrorist drove his car into them, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement.

Security cameras at a nearby gas station recorded the incident that occurred on Saturday night.

The video of the incident was uploaded to YouTube by Channel 2 News. The soldiers were stationed at Beit Omer near Hebron, when the suspect suddenly plowed into the four soldiers.

A soldier at the scene shot out the car’s tires in order to stop the attack. The 33-year-old man of Beit Omer, was arrested and is currently being questioned.

The suspect claims that he mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake. However, investigators said that the vehicle was stolen and that the suspect wanted to attack Israeli soldiers.

Two of the soldiers were taken to nearby hospitals for medical care, while the two other wounded soldiers received medical treatment at the scene.
