(Scroll down for video) A man was found dead in his apartment after being stabbed in the neck with a pair of scissors, Israel Police said.
The Tel Aviv Police department said that the 39-year-old man has a criminal history.
When investigators arrived at his apartment he was found with a pair of scissors in his neck. The owner of the building alerted police after fearing that his tenant was attacked.
Police began questioning the victim’s neighbors and residents of the area. A spokesperson for Magen David Adom said that when they arrived at the apartment, paramedics tried to revive the victim, but all efforts failed and he was pronounced dead.
Last April, an Orthodox Jewish man was stabbed numerous times in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn, New York. The man was stabbed several times all over his body, despite driving in the heavily ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhood.
The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m., at the intersection of Quentin Road and McDonald Avenue. According to the initial investigation, the suspect was standing at the crosswalk. The driver was stopped at the red light when the suspect approached the car. The driver opened the window, and the attacker stabbed him several times all over his body in front of his horrified wife.
A passerby called police, while Hatzolah of Borough Park took the wounded man to Lutheran Hospital where he was said to be in critical but stable condition. Police and the Borough Park Shomrim Patrol began searching for the perpetrator.
Police released no motive for the attack.
