A woman of China, was shocked to learn that a bullet had been lodged in her head for the past 48 years.

Now, the woman, 61, can finally breathe easily as doctors removed the bullet from her head.

The woman, Zhao, went to a hospital recently due to chronic rhinitis, a condition that usually involves excessive sneezing, itchy nose and a stuffed nose. The woman said that her nose always had pus.

During the last 10 years, she had breathing difficulties and headaches. A CT scan revealed that she had a metal object in her nostril, and after doctors use an endoscope to remove it, they were surprised to discover that the object was actually a bullet.

Zhao believes that the bullet entered her head 48 years ago. She said that in 1967, when she was only 14 years old, she was walking down the street when she suddenly felt a sharp pain in the right side of her head.

She thought that she was hit by a stone because there was no blood. When she arrived home, a family member just cleaned and bandaged the wound.

After a few months passed everyone forgot about the incident.
