(Scroll down for video) A woman is lucky to be alive after her dog performed the Heimlich maneuver when she choked on a piece of candy.

The woman of Wales, United Kingdom, said that her dog became worried after it saw her choke.

Rachel Hayes, 40, began to choke when a strawberry candy became stuck in the back of her throat and she could not get it out. She could not call anybody because she was unable to speak.

She said that Mollypops was obviously worried about her.
Mollypops came up from behind her and put its paws on her and hit her to force the candy out.

Hayes said that she bought her dog some chicken to eat as a thank you.
