Seven people found themselves in a cellar after the toilet floor of a nightclub collapsed while they were doing their business.

Mark Cowgill, 29 , of the United Kingdom, was one of the seven men who crashed into the basement of the Hell Polish Club located in Eccles, Salford.

Cowgill said that he was washing his hands when the floor began to buckle. It was like a movie as he ended up in a pile of rubble in the basement, he said.

Cowgill and three other men were taken to a hospital, where they were examined. They did not suffer serious injuries. Cowgill reported that he is suffering from aches and pains, and cuts and bruises on his left side.

The owner of the nightclub, Arthur Kardasiewicz, 38, said that he believed the incident was caused by nightclubbers jumping up and down on the floor. Kardasiewicz also said that he had reported the case to the police, alleging criminal damage.

However, a building inspector said that he found evidence of a water leak, which may have led to the collapse. The club was closed for several days. Now, the club has reopened and the women’s toilets have become unisex bathrooms.
