A man was arrested and charged after his young daughter drove his car.
The father has been accused of leaving his 2-year-old daughter alone in his car. The little girl drove the car into some parked cars.
Oscar Chicas, 33, of Connecticut, was arrested by police in West Hartford on Saturday afternoon, after the incident. Chicas was working with his brother on a disabled car a few meters away when he left his daughter in the vehicle unattended, authorities said.
Police said the car had been idling and Chicas’ daughter put it in drive while alone in the vehicle. The car then moved forward and collided with two other cars, resulting in minor damage.
Fortunately, the child was not injured. Chicas has been charged with risk of injury and was held on bail of $15,000. The 2-year-old girl who caused the crash, has been placed with her uncle, who was at the scene.
