The two men were arrested on Sunday, in connection with the armed robbery of the pregnant woman.
Devery Kelley, 24, of Annapolis, and Cornell Robinson, 44, of Washington, DC, were arrested by Annapolis Police. Authorities were called on Sunday around 4:30 a.m., by a witness who said he saw a man and a pregnant woman being held at gunpoint on Copeland Street.
The woman was in labor before the robbery and was taken to the Anne Arundel Medical Center after the incident. The suspects fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.
Police followed the vehicle. However, when the suspects saw the officers they abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
They also attempted to get rid of the weapon by throwing it from the car. Officers saw them throwing something from the car window and recovered a gun.
Both men were arrested as they tried to flee on foot. The woman was reported to be in good condition.
