(Scroll down for video) People had a good laugh when they saw an irritated dog honking the horn of a car.

The dog honked the horn for 15 minutes after its owner spent too much time in an art gallery.

People who walked past the car and saw Fern, an 18-month-old boxer, took videos of the dog leaning back in the driver’s seat with his left foot resting on the steering wheel, repeatedly pressing the horn.

The incident took place on Saturday afternoon, when the animal had been inside the car while its owner was browsing the art gallery in Broughty Ferry, near Dundee in Scotland.

The dog’s owners, Graham and Fiona Haddow from nearby Liff, said that they were surprised when they returned to their car to find a crowd gathered around their car. They began to worry about the welfare of Fern.

Mr. Haddow, 58, said: “I left the gallery, looked down the street and saw a crowd of people standing around, pointing at my car. I started running because I was concerned that something had happened.”

He then realized that people were pointing, laughing and taking videos of his dog as it was honking the horn.

Haddow said that Fern regularly sits in the front seat when left alone in the car. However, the dog never honked the horn.
