(Scroll down for video) A young boy who loves animals, was seen on video holding a chimpanzee.
Suddenly, a hyena appeared and tried to get to the chimpanzee.
The fearless young boy was seen shooing the animal away while holding the baby chimpanzee in a protective position. Hyena’s can be aggressive.
As we reported earlier, a woman was horrified when an animal grabbed her baby out of her baby carrier. A stray hyena attacked and killed the 18 month old, in the Zimbabwe.
The incident happened in Zingindi Village, Masvingo, in a case that has shocked the local community. The child’s mother, Sarudzai Muzamane, 23, was visiting a neighbor one evening with the baby strapped to her back.
Muzamane left her neighbor’s home about 4:00 p.m. While she was walking home, the hyena suddenly appeared at a nearby bush. The 23-year-old mother tried to fight off the predator while trying to protect her baby.
The hyena overpowered her and stole the baby. It dragged the child to the nearby bushes. Muzamane alerted fellow villagers, who ran into the woods and attacked the animal with sticks and machetes.
The animal died as a result of the attack. Sadly, they were unable to save the baby. The baby’s body was discovered nearby.
Police spokesperson Peter Zhanero confirmed the tragic incident.
