The incident began when the 40-year-old man of South Bank, Cleveland, was accused of sleeping with the wife of a gang member.

The angry husband along with a group of men attacked the victim along a busy highway and severed his penis. Kelvin “Kelly” Hewitt was found staggering along the A66 in Middlesbrough, just before 5:00 a.m. looking for his privates.

The father of seven suffered injuries to the genitals and other parts of his body. He was taken to a hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma.

Police blocked a section of the highway between Church Lane and Greystones Roundabout, for more than five hours in search of the man’s privates. Police have not said if they were able to recover the missing appendage during their search.

A 22-year-old man was arrested later that day for his involvement in the assault. He was later released on bail.
