Joe Frederick Hawkins, 26, was arrested in connection with the shooting death of two brothers and a sister.
The victims were identified as 33-year-old Anthony Ray Hawkins, 30-year-old Reshowna Hawkins, and 34-year-old Darrell Hawkins. A 21-year-old woman was also shot several times in the chest.
She was taken to a hospital where she is said to be in stable condition. The family gathered at the home of their mother in the 3700 block of South 4th Street in Beaumont, Texas, when Joe Frederick Hawkins opened fire, killing his siblings.
After the shooting he drove off, leaving behind a bloody crime scene. His mother, who managed to flee the house, went to a family member’s house and called police.
Police are unsure what drove the man to kill his siblings.
