(Scroll down for video) A young mother put her life on the line for her children.

22-year-old Mindy Tran, is the mother of twin girls. She put her life on the line to stop her car from rolling into traffic.

The incident occurred just days after the family moved into their new apartment in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Tran backed her car into the garage, put it in park and buckled her 2-year-old twins in the back seat of the car.

She then went to lock the front door of her house. Suddenly, she saw her car rolling down her driveway towards a busy road with her daughters still in the back seat.

The mother ran to her car and threw herself under the wheel to slow the car down, while screaming for help. The car rolled over the woman’s legs.

Thankfully, her neighbor was able to jump into the driver’s seat to fully stop the car. Tran was taken to a hospital after her right leg was crushed and her hip was dislocated.

Tran has undergone several surgeries and she will still need more procedures done before being released back home. It will be a long recovery process.

However, the mother said that it was all worth it to save the life of her two precious girls.
