(Scroll down for video) A father is in trouble after a tow truck company found his baby inside a car, which was towed for illegal parking.
The panicked father of Colorado, called police after he thought that his car was stolen with his child inside.
Thomas Benton left his one-year-old son sleeping in his car for 10 minutes, while he went inside an apartment complex. However, he parked in a private spot.
When he returned, he found the parking space empty. He called the Denver Police to report a possible kidnapping.
Officers however, knew that the car was not stolen but towed. According to a police spokesperson, the tow company informs police before towing a car.
The tow truck company said that the driver did not check inside the car before towing it. When they checked the car at their facility, the company found that the baby was still sleeping and was unhurt.
Benton was arrested for an outstanding warrant and is being investigated for child neglect.
