(Scroll down for video) A dumb criminal is behind bars after he handed his phone number to a bartender before robbing the place.
Keveen Quintanilla, 31, of California, walked into the restaurant and flirted with the bartender.
22-year-old bartender Ashleigh Cullen, who works at the Curry Up Now, a restaurant in San Mateo, said that Quintanilla came into the restaurant at 1:00 a.m., and asked her if she was willing to go out with him later that night. Quintanilla gave the bartender his number and he left.
He later returned to the restaurant with different clothes. He also wore a restaurant work shirt as he was removing electronics from the storage room area.
Police said that Quintanilla was caught in the act by employees in the early hours of Saturday morning, but he fled before police arrived.
That is when Cullen told police that she recognized the suspect as a man who had previously flirted with her and gave her his number.
Officers set up a sting operation, where they pretended to be Cullen. The San Mateo Police began exchanging texts with the suspect. They asked if he wants to go out with her on a date at a donut shop in Burlingame.
Quintanilla fell for it, and when he showed up, two plain clothes detectives who waited at the shop, arrested him.
