The Clarkstown man was accused of shooting paintballs as a hate crime in the Hasidic village of Kaser.
23-year-old Shashi Ramsaroop also faces three years of probation and a surcharge of $250 after pleading guilty to the crime. Ramsaroop and two others were arrested for shooting at an Orthodox Jewish man with a paintball gun while shouting anti-Jewish slurs.
Charges against the other two suspects were dropped. The victim suffered burns and bruises on his torso as a result of the shooting.
