A dog became stuck and needed to be rescued after its owner sat down in a recliner, firefighters in Wales, United kingdom, said.

Ammanford Firefighters responded to one of their most unusual calls on Sunday.

It took eight firefighters to free the corgi trapped in the recliner. The dog named Princess, was found in distress after its owner sat down in the chair without realizing that the pet was dozing off in it.

Firefighters needed to chop up the recliner in order to free the dog. “The dog was stuck and was unable to move,” Jason Cadman, one of the responding firefighters, said.

“The owner tried to free the dog by removing the screws and nuts of the reclining chair, but it didn’t work,” he added. “The dog happily wagged its tail after it was freed,” another firefighter said.
