A woman said that she is making a lot of money after her breast milk soap proved to be very popular in China.

The woman claims that her breast milk soap cures diaper rash.

The soap was invented after her baby couldn’t be breastfed. Instead of throwing the breast milk away, she decided to make soap so she could still capture some of the skin care benefits.

The soaps are proving popular on Taobao (the Chinese equivalent to ebay and Amazon). With over 500 million registered users, Taobao has a lot of unusual items up for sale.

The soap maker writes that her creations are good for deep cleaning of the skin for adults, and also helps prevent diaper rash in babies. She has molded the soaps in shapes of rabbits, turtles and fish.

“I used to pour everything down the drain, but it seemed a waste,” the woman said. Studies show that breast milk helps prevent skin diseases like eczema. Experts also say that breastfed babies have a lower risk of diarrhea and vomiting, fewer chest and ear infections, and are less likely to be obese.
