A phone salesman received a harsh sentence for stealing nude photos from women’s phones.

The man of the United Kingdom, was sentenced to 4 months in prison with a 12 month suspended sentence.

Lee Hawkes, 35, of Swansea, was also ordered to register as a sex offender after stealing nude photos from phones of unsuspecting women.

Hawkes downloaded dozens of obscene images from women’s cellphones when they gave it to him for repair.

Police raided his shop and found 48 images of women in their twenties in a number of different nude poses. There were 135 sexually explicit images of women in their thirties.

Hawkes transferred the images from the women’s phones to his own phone. He also downloaded them to his personal computer, the Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard.

Hawkes persuaded at least one of the women to invest in a new phone. He then transferred the contents from the phone to the woman’s new phone and to his own phone, according to Prosecutor Rachel Knight.

He put the images on his own phone before transferring them to his computer. Hawken later showed the nude images from the customers to a coworker, who notified the police and he was arrested.
