A woman is in trouble with the law after she was caught shoplifting.
However, the woman faces a lot more trouble with her own daughter after she tried to have her 12 year old arrested for her crime.
Amani Ibrahim of Orland Park, Illinois, walked into a mall with three of her children. A security guard working at Sephora in the Orland Square Mall, allegedly saw her stuffing make-up into a shopping bag.
The woman allegedly instructed her 12-year-old daughter to steal some items too. As Ibrahim was about to leave the store the guard stopped her to check her bags, and would not let her leave when he found the stolen goods.
Ibrahim reportedly told a police officer that the shoplifting spree was her daughter’s idea.
The police officer said that when he arrived at the scene, Ibrahim said that it was her 12-year-old daughter, who committed the petty theft, and not her.
Police discovered that Ibrahim had six previous convictions for theft leaving them to believe that the mother was behind the shoplifting.
Ibrahim was arrested and charged for the theft.
