A man was angry when he learned that he was deceived by a woman for almost three years.
Vineet Singh, 22, of Muzaffarnagar, in Uttar Pradesh, India, was looking forward to meeting the woman he has been chatting via Facebook.
However, the meeting did not go very well after he learned that the woman who claimed to be 21 years old on Facebook, was actually a middle-aged married woman.
Singh shot and killed his virtual girlfriend, Jyoti Kori, after learning that she is a 45-year-old mother of three, who lives with her husband and kids in Jabalpur.
Singh is unemployed, and Kori is apparently a bored housewife. The two spoke regularly on Facebook for almost three years.
Kori’s husband and three children, including the eldest daughter who is 21 years old, had no idea what their mother was up to.
Police believe that the murder was prompted by the man’s extreme pain, frustration and anger of being deceived, and when he learned that he spend time talking to a woman with whom he cannot have a future.
Kori had put a photo of an actress as her profile picture so Singh had no way of knowing the truth.
The two finally met and the truth was revealed. Jyoti told her family that she was going for two days to her mother’s house and the man told his parents he was going to Delhi in search of a job.
After shooting the woman Singh tried to commit suicide. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
