(Scroll down for video) A man who was involved in a serious accident, did not want to be treated for his injuries.

The truck driver who was injured, refused to allow firefighters to save his life until he spoke with his wife.

When Kong Huang, 35, called his wife he asked if she would stay with him if he became disabled.

Huang was trapped inside his truck after the accident in southwestern region of the country. He drove a truck loaded with sand when it collided with another vehicle in Suining, Sichuan Province.

When rescue workers told Huang that they might have to amputate his leg to free him from the wreck, Huang became distraught.

He did not allow rescue workers to save him until he spoke to his 29-year-old wife, Cheng Huang.

He told his wife that he was involved in an accident and he may lose a limb.

“Precious one, I have just one question which you must answer truthfully. I am hurt and may lose a limb. My question is: Will you still love me with one leg?” Kong Huang asked.

When she said “yes,” Huang ended the call and told rescuers: “go ahead, I can live.”

The rescue operation lasted several hours and Huang was finally freed from the wreckage. His limbs were not amputated. While recovering at the hospital, Huang said: “I was doubly blessed today I got my wife’s unconditional love and I have the good fortune of returning to her a whole man. I am very lucky.”
