(Scroll down for video) A man was fooled into supporting a family for many years with a promise of marriage.
Now, the teacher is suing to get his money back.
The incident began when the teacher of Taipei, Taiwan, “fell in love” with his eight-year-old student.
The man discussed the issue with the child’s mother. The 32-year-old teacher claims that the mother promised that he could marry the girl once she came of age.
The teacher then reportedly spent the next several years financially supporting the family. The man spent approximately $29,714 on the girl and her mother.
Recently however, the teacher found a Facebook photo of “his future wife” holding a baby.
He then realized that the teen, who is now 17 years old, is actually married to another man, and the two had a baby together.
That’s when the man decided to file a lawsuit against the girl’s mother for fraud. However, the case didn’t go as he had hoped.
The judge ruled that the original marriage contract from nine years ago went against public morals, and declared the promise to be non binding.
Many people are criticizing the teacher for claiming to had “fallen in love” with an 8-year-old child. Some even went as far as calling the 32-year-old teacher a pervert.
