(Scroll down for video) A man who pleaded guilty to raping a 14-year-old girl in school was given a light sentence.
People were very surprised when a judge sentenced the sex offender to 5 years probation.
The judge said that the victim was promiscuous. She had three different partners and at one point, she was pregnant.
Sir Young of Texas, was 18 years old when he raped the 14 year old at the Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas.
The court heard that the students were kissing in a rehearsal room at their performing arts school, but the victim told him to stop when he began to rub her body.
Young, who is now 20 years old, was facing twenty years in prison, but was given probation instead. He will be spending 45 days in jail and for the next five years he will be jailed on the anniversary of the day the rape took place.
He was also ordered to perform 250 hours of community service at a rape crisis center. Young has to register as a sex offender for life, but he was not ordered to attend a sex offender treatment program or other requirements for convicted sex offenders.
The local rape crisis center said that they will not allow a convicted rapist to work at their center.
