Just several days after a Leeds teacher was murdered during class, two teens of Wales, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, police in the United Kingdom said.

The girls, 14 and 15 years old, were arrested by the Gwent Police of South Wales, in the wake of the fatal stabbing of Ann Maguire earlier this week.

Officers arrested the two at the Cwmcarn High School, which is located near Newport, due to concerns about their behavior. Specifically, the 15-year-old girl was arrested for making death threats, possession of a weapon on school property and conspiracy to commit murder.

Police said that a kitchen knife was found in the backpack of the girl and the police were called by a school teacher. The two girls were overheard talking about killing their teacher, Alison Cray.

Meanwhile, the 14-year-old girl was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

A police spokesperson said that no physical confrontation took place. Both girls have been released on bail. The alleged murder plot came three days after Ann Maguire, 61, was murdered in her classroom at the Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds.
