New craze: teenagers take cabbage for walks as therapy for depression

(Scroll down for video) Teenagers are making headlines with their unique form of therapy for depression and loneliness.

Teenagers found a way to meet like minded and equally lonely individuals.

Dogs are known to be man’s best friend, they have helped kids with disabilities and kids who are shy to overcome their disabilities.

However, teenagers of China, were seen walking on the street with leashes attached to a cabbages rather than walking with dogs as a way to overcome depression and loneliness.

Apparently, young people are able to meet others who are in the same situation as them, by pulling the cabbages behind them.

The view of people pulling cabbages on leashes has brought laughs to many people. Most people who see this craze for the first time, grab their cellphones and take photos of the ridiculous acts.

Ja Chen Lui, 17, defended his decision to join the cabbage pulling craze by saying that it had helped him become a more positive person.

He also said that when he sees another teenager dragging a cabbage behind, he knows that the person can understand him.

“If I see someone else with a cabbage it is easy to start a conversation. Cabbages are better than dogs because they do not bark or start fights while you are trying to have a conversation.”
