A 60-year-old woman found herself behind bars after spilling Kool-Aid on her son’s face, police in Florida said.

The incident began when officers were called to a disturbance in the 800 block of North 21st Street, where 60-year-old Yeteva Mccollum said that her son called her a bad name.
McCollum became upset and she threw a glass of Kool-Aid at her son. The Kool-Aid hit him in the head and body. McCollum told police that after she threw the Kool-Aid she felt something hit her in the lip.
The 33-year-old son of McCollum, told police that he was in the kitchen washing dishes when his mother started a verbal altercation. He said that she threw the Kool-Aid and ran into her bedroom.
He said that he heard a noise as she ran, and she came out of the bedroom with a swollen lip. He said that he believes that she bumped into the bed. The son also said that his mother often calls the police on false allegations. McCollum was charged with one count of battery.
