A police officer was left red faced after he locked his keys inside his car.
The police officer of the United Kingdom, went to arrest a man, but lost his car keys after arresting the suspect.
He then asked the suspect’s mother to kindly transport him and her son to the police station.
The officer accidentally locked the keys in the trunk of his car, and only realized his mistake when he was about to put the man inside his patrol car.
He then went back to the suspect’s house to ask his mother if she had a car and if she could drive them to the police station.
She agreed and ushered the officer and her son, who was still handcuffed, into the back of her Vauxhall Corsa.
According to reports, officers in Nottinghamshire seized evidence from the suspect’s bedroom, and they placed it in the trunk of the police car. They closed the trunk with the keys inside.
The officer and the suspect were driven to the precinct as neighbors watched and laughed about the strange incident.
