(Scroll down for video) A home in Colorado was damaged after an airplane pilot crashed into it, investigators said.

Luckily, the pilot was able to walk away after crashing the plane into the Northglenn home on Monday.

The pilot once owned the home he damaged.

Pieces of the plane were scattered on the road nearby. The house is located on Livingston Drive next to Claire Lane. On Tuesday afternoon, the plane had been pulled out of the house.

Police officers are trying to determine if the pilot targeted the house or if it was a coincidence.

The pilot, Brian Veatch, is a full time firefighter. He works part time as a pilot for banner advertising. His plane crashed upside down into the roof of the home.

No one was home when the plane crashed. Investigators said that the plane was carrying a Geico advertisement at the time of the crash. The man who owns the plane, said that Veatch lost power and tried to find a field to land, but had no choice but to go down in the neighborhood.
