(Scroll down for video) A senseless shooting led to the death of a young man.
Darrell Lynch, 24, a young father of Queens, New York, was with his mother when he got into a fight with another man in Jamaica, over a parking space.
According to police, the incident took place about 7:30 p.m. The gunman shot Lynch in the leg and ran away.
That is when Lynch grabbed his own gun, but dropped it. His mother took the gun and shot in the direction of the shooter, but missed.
Lynch and his 55-year-old mother entered their Ford Explorer and drove away from the crime scene, while his leg was still bleeding.
Sadly, Lynch lost large amounts of blood from a severed artery, police said. He lost consciousness and the truck crashed into two parked cars. Paramedics transported him to the Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are still looking for the shooter. So far, no arrests have been made in the case.
