(Scroll down for video) A woman who has helped many women go through the abortion process, has now shared her own experience.

25-year-old Emily Letts, is an abortion counselor who decided to share her story publicly, in hopes to help other women overcome the stereotypes of abortions.

Letts recorded herself before, after and during her surgical abortion procedure, and posted the video on YouTube.

Emily Letts, who works at the Cherry Hill Women’s Center in New Jersey, said that despite being a sex educator, she had not been using any birth control and “wound up pregnant” by mistake.

In her three-minute YouTube video, she is seen being wheeled into the operating theater before being recorded from the waist up as doctors removed the embryo from her womb.

She remained awake throughout the procedure, and was numbed by the local anesthetic only.

Letts said that she was happy to see that she can create life. However, at this time, she was not ready to be a mother and raise a child so she decided to abort the baby.

After being criticized for not using birth control or a condom while having sex, Letts admitted to her mistake and said that doctors inserted an IUD, which is a form of birth control, inside her after the abortion procedure.
