A woman scared off a rapist by falsely claiming to be pregnant.

The 19-year-old woman, who is a migrant worker in China, became frightened when a man broke into her room one morning, while she was sleeping in her dorm.

The woman was working in the Haining, Zhejiang Province, when the man attempted to rape her.

The woman immediately told him that she was pregnant. The man decided to leave the “pregnant” woman alone in order not to harm the baby by forcing himself onto her.

Interestingly enough, the attacker even gave some money to the woman for her medical expenses.

The man was later arrested. He was recently sentenced to five years and six months in prison. He also received a fine of 5,000 yuan ($800).
