To neighbors and friends, Scott Gellatly and Lori Gellatly of Connecticut, seemed like the perfect couple.

Their Facebook page is filled with happy photos of the couple kissing and enjoying time together. However, things took a nasty turn when the husband allegedly walked in on his wife cheating with another man.

The father of four children is accused of murdering his estranged wife and injuring her mother after posting a message on Facebook about the breakup of his marriage.

Scott Gellatly wrote that he caught her in bed with another man.

In the Facebook message he wrote that during a party he had entered the house to find Lori with a neighbor, who is also married. “He is doing her from behind,” the distraught husband wrote.

Lori Gellatly, 32, had fled the home she shared with her husband Scott Gellatly, 46, and moved in with her mother in Oxford. She took along their 18-month-old twins.

She also took out an order of protection against her husband. One day, about 5:45 a.m., the husband entered the house, shot his wife and her mother, Merry Jackson.

The twins, who were home at the time, were not injured.

Scott Gellatly has four children, including two children from a previous marriage. He worked as a fire systems safety specialist until he left the job last month.

Lori worked at the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection of the state. Lori was taken to a nearby hospital where she died of her wounds. Merry Jackson, 63, is in serious condition.

The shooting set off a massive manhunt for Scott Gellatly, who was later found in a truck in an abandoned parking lot. He was attempting to commit suicide, but was arrested. He is being held on $2 million bond.
