(Scroll down for video) A man who broke into homes owned by Hasidic Jews on Shabbat and holidays, was arrested and charged, police in New York said.
Brooklyn Police said that they arrested Peter Dixon on Thursday, after being accused of committing several robberies in the Borough Park Neighborhood.
Investigators said that the 51-year-old Dixon usually struck on the Jewish Sabbath and Jewish holidays. Surveillance video recorded Dixon breaking into two homes located on 62nd Street between 18th and 19th avenues, and tried to break into three additional houses in the same area.
Dixon was charged with 15 counts of burglary in the third degree and five counts of attempted burglary in the third degree. Dixon is currently on parole for unrelated crimes. He was arrested when he showed up at the parole office.
