A woman fell in love with a teenager and decided to kill her husband so she can be the boy.
Now, 28-year-old Sudha Gupta, was arrested and charged with the murder of her Air Force sergeant husband.
The woman’s 17-year-old lover, who the son of another sergeant, is accused of being an accomplice to the murder.
Gupta told police that her 40-year-old husband sergeant Ramesh Chandra, was complaining of chest pain for 12 hours before he died.
Chandra died at his home in Subrato Park in Delhi. Police initially believed that he died a heart attack. However, the autopsy revealed that he died of asphyxiation.
Police found 1,500 phone calls between Gupta and the boy before Chandra was killed.
The teenage boy was taken in for questioning and allegedly admitted to strangling Chandra at his home while he was drunk.
The married couple had a three-year-old daughter together. She was placed with child services.
Gupta told police that she was not satisfied with her sex life since they were married in 2008. She said that Chandra’s alcoholism had strained their relationship even further.
Rather than divorce him, the woman along with her new lover killed him.
