A woman who was relieving herself in her own bathroom, suddenly felt a sharp pain in her leg, rescue workers in Singapore said.

The housewife was horrified to discover that a six-foot python came out of the toilet bowl and sank its teeth into her leg.

34-year-old Noraslinda Asat, was in the bathroom on the ground floor of her house when she heard a gurgling noise and felt the bite. After several attempts to grab the snake, she managed to pull it off her leg.

Asat told rescue workers that the snake was 6 feet long and as thick as the forearm of her husband. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she received a shot for the bite.

After she was discharged, Asat said that the real damage is psychological. She is so traumatized that she is afraid to use the toilet at home, preferring to relieve herself in public instead.

The authorities were unable to locate the snake. A friend of Asat later saw the snake in a manhole, but could not catch it.

This is the second time that a snake was found in the home of Asat. The mother of Asat reported that she saw a snake in the toilet bowl, but it ran away when it saw her.
