Two teens were arrested on charges of theft after they allegedly stole wigs from a Lakewood shop, police in New Jersey said.
Lakewood Police said that the two women were seen on video surveillance stealing wigs, and were forced to give themselves up after people recognized them on social media sites.
The shoplifting occurred at 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, at the Lakewood Beauty Supply, located on River Avenue.
A few hours later, police received several calls from concerned citizens, who identified the suspects. The stolen wigs were not recovered.
18-year-old Jakiera Randolph of Jackson, and 19-year-old Kadija Diawara of Toms River, were charged with shoplifting. According to the owners of the shop they took about $250 in wigs.
Both women were released on bail.
