In a bizarre incident, a man stole a toilet tank from a Subway restaurant.

Police in Washington, were called to investigate the unusual theft at the restaurant.

According to police, the man removed the toilet tank from the Subway restaurant in West Seattle on Sunday night, and destroyed the bathroom before he escaped.

The man entered the Subway with his family around 7:45 p.m. in the 7400 block of 42nd Avenue Southwest. While workers took orders from his family, the man went into the bathroom and stayed there for a while.

His wife went to the bathroom and asked what was taking him so long, police said. His family left the Subway without him.

Then the man came out of the bathroom holding a plastic garbage bag and calmly walked out of the restaurant.

An employee went to check the bathroom, and found that the toilet tank was gone and the bathroom key was missing. The sink was full of paper towels and still running.

The toilet tank is worth $550.

Police interviewed witnesses, and they identified a possible suspect, but so far, no arrests have been made.
