(Scroll down for video) Several police officers are facing a lawsuit after beating a man while he was moving into his new apartment, according to court documents filed in Georgia.

69-year-old Dhoruba Bin-Wahab of Clayton County, said that he is still suffering the after effects of the injuries he suffered as a result of the attack.

Cellphone video showed how police officers slammed Bin-Wahab to the ground on his own porch. His lawyers believe that the police response was unjustified.

Bin-Wahab said that the attack occurred while he was in the process of moving into his newly rented house on West Downing Drive. He was on the second floor when he saw the officers approaching his house with their weapons drawn.

They said that they were looking for Bin-Wahab. He complied with everything they asked, but he said that it was not enough.

They handcuffed him and the situation worsened. They threw him on the ground head first.

Police said that Bin-Wahab was uncooperative and verbally abusive.
