(Scroll down for video) A police officer was placed on administrative leave after he kicked a man in the groin.
Now, the law student at the University of New Mexico, lost a testicle and may suffer long term effects.
The incident began earlier this month, when officer Pablo Padilla of Albuquerque, stopped the student for running a stop sign on campus.
Court documents and a video of the arrest were released. The video shows officer Padilla kicking 24-year-old Jeremy Martin, in the groin.
The four-and-a-half minute video, which was recorded by officer Padilla, shows Martin refusing to obey the officer when he was asked multiple times to sit down or stop talking.
Martin said that doctors removed a testicle as a result of the kick.
