Two men of Sea Gate, were arrested on charges of drug possession after allegedly selling drugs from their homes, police in New York said.
Brooklyn Police said that they arrested 66-year-old Thomas Roberto, and 54-year-old Joseph Jaccarino, after police found about 80 pounds of marijuana in their possession.
The incident began in on Wednesday afternoon, when police realized that the two men were carrying two black garbage bags in front of 3904 Neptune Avenue.
The two placed the bags in the trunk of their vehicle.
Police followed the vehicle and stopped the driver after he committed a traffic violation.
During the investigation, officers detected a strong smell of marijuana and ordered the men out of their vehicle.
After a brief search, police found 15 pounds of marijuana in the trunk.
After obtaining a search warrant for their home, NYPD police found another 60 pounds of marijuana, along with at least 100 marijuana plants and loose marijuana in plastic bags.
The estimated value of the seized marijuana is more than $100,000.
The two were charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
